KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 14.30 g, 11 h), struck by Antipater, Polyperchon, or Kassander, Pella, circa 323/2-316/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, nude and holding branch and reins, riding horse to right; to lower right, trident. Le Rider pl. 21, 512 (same dies). With an attractive head of Zeus and light golden toning. The reverse softly struck and with a test cut, otherwise, very fine.
